TEKSKIN^® coatings are the result of several years of research done by Hutchinson. They are a complete range of aqueous-based coatings designed to improve the surface properties of elastomers such as appearance, friction, protection.

Hutchinson development

The development of aqueous-based coatings is an essential response to technical performance needs and the desire to respect the environment (elimination of VOC emissions). TEKSKIN^® replaces solvent coatings now widely used by the profession.

TEKSKIN^® line

The TEKSKIN^® line of coatings comes in two families:
- Functional coatings that offer good appearance, low friction, resistance to abrasion, light and bad weather, chemical protection and reduction of squealing.
- Appearance coatings that offer a distinguishing aesthetic touch on normally black parts. This type of coating gives stylists an opportunity to create new aesthetics (color, aluminum tone) for their automotive or industrial applications. This is an additional advantage that sets Hutchinson apart from the competition.

TEKSKIN^® coatings are broadly used on automotive parts such as opening roof seals, and hand brake seals or various door seals in Europe.
The TEKSKIN^® coating range applies to many Hutchinson product lines to satisfy needs for chemical protection, assembly aids, etc.
