NUK® designs and markets a wide range of baby care products such as nipples and pacifiers, baby bottles, products for breast-feeding, accessories for feeding and washing as well as for comfort and early learning activities.
The NUK® brand celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2006. Today, its products are distributed in over 90 countries. The Zeven factory produces over 100 million nipples and pacifiers and over 10 million bottles every year.
The orthodontic nipple
From the very beginning, NUK® has always distinguished itself by its innovative spirit. Its first major milestone was no doubt the orthodontic nipple in natural rubber, conceived by the dentist Müller and a certain professor Balters. Modeled after a mother’s breast, it fosters proper development of baby’s oral cavity. The famous NUK® nipple was then enhanced by a unique ventilation system that controls the entry of air into the bottle, reproducing natural breast-feeding conditions as accurately as possible.
